No Border No State No Prosperity

Just a short article here to address how having wide open borders harms the prosperity of its citizens.

Our young people in high school, or graduating from high school need entry-level jobs. That’s just a fact. They simply do not have the experience to get the assistant manager positions right at the start. Usually, these jobs pay the least because they are entry level jobs requiring unskilled workers. You’ll learn the skills you need for the job on the job.

But when you have undocumented people coming across the borders, they necessarily will work in jobs that are entry level jobs because they take the chance of being deported if they were to do anything but work for pay under the table. Employers often break the law and, because it costs them less than the minimum wage to hire these workers, they hire them rather than hire the entry-level citizens to whom they would have had to pay minimum wage.

So, where this happens, those people seeking entry-level positions, mostly our young high school graduates, can’t find jobs!

This is just one of several reasons to have a secure border. Not that we don’t accept immigrants, but we should accept them through a process that is a legal path to citizenship and documentation, just like any other United States citizen, with all of the privileges and rights that accompany such a lofty title.

Can anyone think of any other country that just lets people pour over their borders? Could you just go to Mexico or Canada and just walk across without any documentation without having to hide yourself from their authorities? Nope. We’re the only nation in the world allowing such a dangerous thing.

And this article isn’t even talking about the potential for allowing in potentially bad actors our enemies might be sending over the border, or how much fentanyl is muled across, or how many felons, or how many terrorists.

It doesn’t matter what side of the political spectrum you’re on. You should want a safe country that has jobs for your children. Can we all agree on that at least?
